Warrior In Exile
Sakmhaiel: A Soul of the Heavens
.

SOUL OF THE HEAVENS

Sakmhaiel seated herself on the ground beside her new student. She began, "What is happening now is the result of the many wars fought throughout this world. Useless, senseless wars that have been fought over and over again. Warring nations preying upon the weaker nations and wantonly destroying innocent people.
" Beings trained to destroy one another with no regard for human life. Many of these young people died on the battlefields of aggression, and in returning to this life, they have brought this aggression back with them. The smell of blood still hang heavily in their nostrils; the taste for victory lay upon the palates of their tongues.
"Just as individual souls have debts to pay, so must nations, cities and countries. Each thing has it's own karma. If a man learns to stalk a tiger to his death with ease, can he not also track a lion using that same skill?

“When you mourn and weep for those who has gone over, you delay their journey. You cause them to feel sadness over your grief and they linger in the hope that you will overcome it. In doing this, you hold them on a plane where they no longer belong. That cannot be considered a divine love for them, but a selfish love for yourself. When you give all the love you have to one while they are yet among you, then you will have done all that you can do. Therefore, you rejoice for them when their journey in this life is complete. For it means they have another chance at living again. They are one step closer to perfection.”
“How can you say they are one step closer to perfection? When you die, you become perfect, else what is heaven for?” he asked innocently.
“I say so’, she replied, ‘because man in his imperfect form, can never enter into the Kingdom of the Father. For it is written in the Holy Writ that ‘no imperfect thing can look upon the face of God and live.’ When you die, the body you raise up becomes perfect, in that you are free of all pain and suffering. All abnormalities are washed away. With each lifetime, it is hoped by all the heavenly hosts that man would continue to work out his ‘debts’ until he finally reaches perfection and can once again rejoin the pure spirit of the Father”.
“But’, he started, ‘we who are left behind still mourn our loss, for it is indeed painful to lose those you love.”
“Instead of mourning,’ Sakmhaiel answered patiently, ‘reflect upon the joyous times you shared with them and be thankful that you were a part of those times. Should it perchance be someone with whom you have had difficulty, ask a blessing for them, turn those difficult times a loose and send them on their way. But you must never mourn.”

WARRIOR IN EXILE
...Finally, unable to resist the yearnings any longer, he decided to visit her in the solitary quarters. Perhaps, if he spoke with her, he would be able to put these feelings behind him before he made a grave mistake. He left his quarters, not stealthily, but carefully avoiding any of his men and Esarg. On entering the building, the guard greeted him warmly, “Good evening, sir. I see you wear the insignia of the United Brotherhood of this Universe. I am pleased to serve you.”
“Good evening, Sentinel.’ Zarog replied to his greeting.  “I have need to question the prisoner.”
“Yes sir.’ The eager guard responded. “That’ll be the center cubicle on the right, sir. May I be of further assistance, sir?’
"Well done, Sentinel. On Guard!" Zarog ordered as he walked past him, and entered the building.
Once inside he walked swiftly to her door. For a brief moment he hesitated, but the desire was too strong to resist knocking.
Opening the door, she purred, "What took you so long? I expected you sooner."
"You expected me?" he asked, surprised.
“Yes, and I’m glad you came.” She purred, as she moved closer to him, and ran her fingers through his hair with one hand, while the other one fingered his chest.
"I saw the surprise in your eyes today and for a brief moment you left your mind open to my probe." She moved yet closer to him, and as she did so, his desire grew stronger. She taunted him, "You want to take me, don't you?"
Huskily, Zarog answered quietly, "Yes, yes, I do."
"Then, you will take me, now!" she ordered him.
Unable to resist her any longer, he took her in his arms and kissed her feverishly, and passionately. She returned his kiss with equal fervor. Before long, they lay in the aftermath of a strong, desire filled, animalistic, passionate embrace.
As soon as the act was completed, Zarog's guilt overtook the implanted desire in him. As he rose to leave, he turned to her and said softly, "Never have I done anything like this before. Not ever in my life.”
“Is that so?” she toyed with him.
“Yes, and there is no excuse on my part for what just happened here tonight. Please, I apologize." He told her.
"There's nothing to apologize for, Commander Zarog,' she replied. You were not able to resist. I put the thought for desire in your mind and I used my mind-power to enhance it. You see, in war, you overcome your enemy any-way-you-can." She let out a snickering laugh.
Zarog was stunned and started to speak, "You put the...?"
"Yes," she gloated, "with my mind-power, I raped the mighty commander who routed my warriors and had me imprisoned in solitary isolation.' Laughing, she continued, "Little me. One, whom you came to exile."
Speechless, Zarog turned and stormed out with her hollow laughter following him each step of the way. His emotions ranged from self-debasement to anger at his seductress

Confined to quarters, Zarog thought of Auhna. He deeply regretted the pain which he was sure would reflect in her eyes, when she learned of his downfall. He moaned, “Oh, Auhna, Auhna. If death would stop these eyes from seeing the pain which is sure to come when you learn of this, this awful news, then I would die at this very moment.”
Haunted by his memories, Zarog curled upon his bed in a fetal position,  reliving precious moments with Auhna, over and over again. It was to be his only comfort, now. So wracked was he with the pain of regret, that his tears refused to flow. So he lay there, dry-eyed, and thought of his precious Auhna, and what losing her would mean to him.
